Health Insurance Exchange Notification
As part of the ACA, all employers were required to notify employees about the availability of the Exchange and the employers’ cost-sharing plans by March 1, 2013. The Department of Labor recently announced that the notification deadline is being moved to “late summer or fall of 2013.” Also, the DOL is considering providing model, generic language that could be used to satisfy the notice requirement. We will inform you of the notification date when the Department of Labor announces it as well as what will be provided by The Department.
